Over the past few weeks, we’ve developed quite the Spring/Summer travel itinerary.
In April we’re planning a trip to the Texas Hill Country with my parents and maybe my sister(s) + their families. Just a little weekend getaway, but it will be a blast. H E L L O wine country!
In May, we’re taking a first anniversary trip to float the Frio River and hike at Garner State Park. I’m so excited about getting away and just relaxing for a few days. Plus–river + tube + ice cold beer = a very happy Jaelan.
And in July–well, quite frankly I don’t want to jinx it–nothing has been booked, yet. I’ll just say this:
We’re planning to take a vacation with my husband’s family… and it’s B I G. *insert squeal*
So, I’ve been daydreaming. I’ve been working on my body. I’ve been sitting on pins and needles waiting for all of these things to finally get here… so of course I’ve been thinking about the various vacation essentials:
Essentials for Wine Tasting/Shopping:
- Comfy shoes
- Adorable tee
- A bag you can stuff 10000 things in, and
- darling earrings
Essentials for Camping:
- Swim Suit
- Comfortable sandals, and
- A baseball hat… gotta hide that 4 day old hair somehow!
Essentials for the Water:
- Swim suit… duh
- Big floppy hat
- Never-ending beach bag
- Beach towel
- Sandals you can kick off easily
- Flowy tank & shorts for hopping over to a nearby outdoor restaurant
- Water bottle & power bar
- Kindle and/or other reading material, and
I’m giddy. Just giddy. Bring. It. On!
