If you have snooped around my social media for any amount of time, you may have noticed that I really enjoy a pink lip. When I decided to take on a year of makeup capsules, I went through my entire collection and threw out what I disliked or deemed too old.
As I was combing through, I kept pulling pink lipsticks from here, there, and everywhere… and I just could not part with any. I decided then and there that I needed to share my favorite pink lipsticks for spring and summer with you.
12 Pink Lipsticks for Spring and Summer
Why twelve pink lipsticks, you ask? Well, I had too many favorites to only share 5 or 10… Plus, I’m American and we count by the dozen. When I couldn’t whittle the number down, I just decided to go for it. Twelve it is! Twelve perfectly pink lipsticks for spring and summer.
Bite Beauty Pink Bellini
If you’re familiar with Bite lipsticks at all, you know that they’re pretty soft, but the pigment packs a punch! This shade is absolutely no different. It took one swipe to get full on hot pink.
Is there a dupe for Bite Pink Bellini?
The short answer is yes, but it’s limited edition and I don’t believe you can buy it. Don’t throw stones, ok?! The dupe is….
MAC Viva Glam Miley
So, as I mentioned, this one was limited edition. BUT, before you go all freak out on me for listing a lipstick that isn’t for sale, hear me out. I decided to list it because maybe you’re kicking yourself for not pouncing on Viva Glam Miley, and if that’s the case, you’re in luck because Bite Beauty Pink Bellini is a full on dupe for Viva Glam Miley.
Who should wear MAC Viva Glam Miley?
Viva Glam Miley is the perfect shade for someone who is trying to experiment with more “fun” colors!
This shade toes the pink/purple line, and I like it! I originally bought this in a double ended travel tube, but when I run out, I am definitely picking up this shade in a full size. Lingonberry is butter soft and the pigment is out of this world. Trust me on this. If you have never swatched a Bite lipstick, just go swatch a few… Pigment city!
Who should wear Bite Lingonberry?
I firmly believe that anyone can rock Bite Lingonberry. It’s a beautiful shade on my fair lips, but I’d LOVE to see someone with darker skin wear it. I think it would be simply stunning.
I bought BUXOM Mistress in a travel duo. I believe it came with a shade called Hooligan. I actually got the duo for Hooligan, but after testing the shades on my lips, I liked Mistress much better. Mistress is the perfect wearable shade for girls who are just getting into pink lipsticks, or ladies who need an office appropriate pink!
Is there a dupe for BUXOM Mistress?
Not that I’ve found! … But if you’re looking for another office appropriate pink lip color, keep reading.
Laura Geller Color Drenched Lip Gloss in Pink Lemonade
Ok, so I cheated with this one – it’s a gloss – but it’s worth it! Worn alone, Pink Lemonade is light, but pigmented. I think this is another great option for new pink lipstick lovers or those in search of office appropriate lip colors.
Pink Lemonade also pairs super nicely with many liners or over lipstick. It’s an all around winner.
Who should wear Laura Geller Pink Lemonade Gloss?
This gloss looks beautiful on fair skin, worn alone. To make it a more wearable shade, pop it over a deeper lip liner or lipstick.
Laura Geller Love Me Dew Moisturizing Lip Crayon in Watermelon Cooler
This corally/pink lipstick is perfect for spring and summer! The lip crayon is super moisturizing, too, so it’s perfect for everyday wear. The hint of coral adds a lot of life back to the face, which is something I appreciate since I can’t exactly sunbathe for that warm weather glow. #fairgirlprobz
MAC Candy Yum Yum vs ColourPop Scandy
This one is a “two-fer”. I’m playing a little mind game with you. I’m wearing two different lipsticks in the photo above. ColourPop’s Scandy is on the left, and MAC’s Candy Yum Yum is on the right. The two shades are so similar it’s hard to tell there’s a difference.
I will say that swatched on the hand, the shades appear slightly different. You can tell. However, on the lips, I think it’s really hard to tell (especially in person). If you want to get really nit-picky (and of course we do), you may notice Scandy seems a tad deeper and I wouldn’t disagree. However for the price difference, I don’t see how you could lose buying the Lippie Stix in Scandy over Mac Candy Yum Yum. Lippie Stix are $5 while MAC lipsticks are $16-17.
Is there a dupe for Mac Candy Yum Yum?
I’d say without a doubt! ColourPop’s Lippie Stix in Scandy is the spitting image of Candy Yum Yum.
NYX Chloe is by far the most interesting pink in my collection. It’s duochrome, which is just awesome, so the color changes in the light. It’s borderline red, but in a lot of light it comes off as pink, so I included it… plus, it’s cheap, y’all. Like less than $4 cheap! It does have a smell, so if scent bothers you, you may choose to skip this one. Can’t you see this being the perfect lipstick for a late night summer party?
Who is NYX Chloe made to impress?
Ladies who like COLOR! This lipstick definitely isn’t for the faint of heart, but #jeezohman, it is a spectacular shade with so much dimension.
NYX Matte Lip Cream in Milan
Score another point for the “super wearable pink lip color” team! The formula for this gorgeous neutral pink is one of the best drugstore formulas I have ever tested. The best way I can describe it is velvety. That’s what this lipstick feels like on your lips – velvet! Milan is the perfect pink lipstick for basically any time of year, but I’m going to be putting it on repeat all spring and summer.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart
Recently, I was asked on my Facebook page what pink lipstick would be good for beginner lipstick wearers and this one immediately came to mind. When I was getting into lipstick in college, I would wait for a coupon and then snag a different Revlon Lip Butter from my local grocery store. The Revlon Lip Butters have an amazing texture. They’re super moisturizing, and the color payoff isn’t too shabby for many of the colors. If you like glossy lips, Sweet Tart is your go-to everyday pink.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Amalfi
Can you say summer date night? This is by far the most “in yo face” pink in my collection – but the color isn’t the only reason it made my top 12 lipsticks for spring and summer – the formula is supreme! The Stila Liquid Lipsticks have an amazing reputation, and it’s obvious why. These lipsticks set to completely matte and they do. not. budge.
Can I pull off Stila Amalfi?
Who, you? TOTALLY. If you see this color and think it’s pretty, give it a go. It may be bright for some, but pop this baby on and wear it around the house for a while. After some time, you’ll feel obliged to bring it on in public.
Tarte LipSurgence in Plush
This is another fantastic wearable pinky peach. It is more on the muted pink side, but it’s a pink none-the-less. Plush is one of my favorites because the formula is so comfortable, but the color is surprisingly pigmented and long lasting. I’m not sure if this color is available in a full size LipSurgence because mine came in a holiday kit, but man oh man… This is a winner!
If you can’t find this shade, definitely swatch some of the other LipSurgences. You won’t be disappointed.
What are some of your favorite pink lipsticks for spring and summer? Do you have just one or do you have a dozen, like I do! 😛
