If there’s one character on television that just “gets” the style of the 60s, it’s Megan Draper from Mad Men. Before I decided to go the Megan Draper Mad Men Makeup route, I had every intention of making this a completely wearable makeup look for mod mix this week. Then I thought, “but where’s the fun in that“?! So I went for it. After all, this would make an amazing Halloween makeup look, no?
I love her pale pink lips and slightly flushed cheeks, so I wanted to make sure I did those features justice. But there’s one feature that is played and played and played… the eyes.
If there’s one thing that has always stuck out to me about makeup in the 60s, it’s the eye liner. The girls really piled it on thick–top and bottom. I don’t think I’ve ever worn liquid liner on my bottom lash line, but I did for this look!
The girls really loved their white and silver eye shadow, too… and there was ALWAYS a very drastic cut-crease.
Speaking of cut-crease… I love Miranda’s take on this prompt. She and I ended up with similar eye looks, but hers is much more neutral and wearable for every day.

… and if you feel like you just NEED a libation in your hand for this one, why not whip up Don Draper’s favorite cocktail?
The products I used to create this look were:
Cargo Essential Lipgloss in Anguilla
NYX Avant Pop Palette in Art Throb (white and black shadows)
E.L.F. blush in Pink Passion
Red Cherry lashes in style #41
So what are you going to be for Halloween? If you’re undecided, why not go for Megan Draper Mad Men makeup? This 60s look is super easy to recreate and the effect is so totally mod.
