Since we already know what items every woman should keep in her car, today I thought we’d explore the purse. A woman’s purse can be a mysterious place. It’s a land many men refuse to dive into… and hey, I get it. But when it comes down to it, what a woman keeps in her purse can be the difference between a good day and a bad one.
What To Keep In Your Purse
– Wallet with IDs, money, and cards
I think this is a no-brainer. It’s important to keep a wallet in your purse, along with your ID, credit cards, and some spare cash. Nothing is worse than getting to where you’re headed, looking in your purse, and realizing you’ve left the most vital piece at home.
When it gets sunny on the go, you’ll want to be able to reach into your bag and give your eyes a rest with sunglasses. Especially during the sunny months, sunglasses are a purse necessity!
– Portable cell phone charger
I think we’ve all probably been stuck somewhere, with a dying cell phone. In some situations, it can be very important to make sure you have a portable cell phone charger. Portable cell phone chargers come in handy when you’re out and about without an outlet, in airports, or even if your electricity fails you.
– A good pen
Never leave home without a good pen, and clean underwear.
You need somewhere to jot down those stellar ideas! A few months ago, I started carrying my traveler’s notebook with me everywhere. It’s so nice to be able to write down ideas, important information, and things I need to remember while I’m away from my desk.
– Lip balm and lip stick
Always be ready for anything. Throw a tube of lip balm and lipstick in your bag… just in case.
– Pain reliever
Those pesky afternoon headaches can be debilitating. But your day doesn’t stop if you get an ache or pain. Be ready for it and put some pain reliever in your purse.
Sometimes you need a good cry. Other times, you just need a place to spit your gum out. You will come up with all kinds of ways to use Kleenex if you keep it in your purse.
For those afternoon refresh sessions, concealer is a must. Concealer goes a long way in brightening up your face and covering all the little spots that are showing through as the day goes on. Stay fresh faced and keep some concealer with you at all times.
Don’t go to your lunch meeting with lipstick on your teeth. Keep a compact in your purse so you can easily check your appearance. Not to mention… I’m sure I’ve seen a woman signal for help with a compact in more than one movie. Better safe than sorry, right?
It seems the rain can pop up out of nowhere these days. Keep a small umbrella in your bag for when the need arises, because it will, eventually.
