Lately I’ve been thinking back to my poor college days. In college was when I really fell in love with makeup. Unfortunately, I made about $125 a week, and that pretty much went straight to rent and food. When I had a little extra money I would collect little drugstore items by using coupons from my grocery store. I was a dedicated makeup addict even while dirt broke, y’all. There are plenty of ways to save money on makeup these days – rewards programs, coupons, special offers – but today I’m sharing how you can get a full face of makeup for under $50 . All of these items are full-drugstore priced, so if you’re thrifty you can get this look for even less.
I dug through my makeup collection and pulled out about 25 products that I still like to use, even though my budget can stretch a little farther. I narrowed the pile down so that nothing was overlapped, but everything was covered. Then I took to my calculator, and the Googles, to total everything up. The final damage was $48.85. I priced everything at Target, with the exception of one thing at Walmart, because Target didn’t have it. Like I mentioned before, these were priced as is – no coupons, no special offers. I know some of you thrifty chicks will be able to get this full face of makeup for less than that.
I make a small percentage of purchases made through links on this post. Using the links is very much appreciated, but never expected, and comes at no additional cost to you.
Makeup Under $10
I love a good drugstore product… and when I can get each item under $10 I’m even more happy. I walk through the aisles of target practically begging Maybelline to take my money. Ha!
Drugstore makeup has improved leaps and bounds since the olden days. Now beauty aisles across the country are filled with pigmented, creamy products. This has definitely fueled my makeup addiction, but I’m ok with it.
Full Face Makeup Under $50
About a year ago we discussed how to fill your makeup bag for under $50. I still stand by those picks, but what is life if you don’t have choices, right? I compiled a new list of makeup items that will give you a full face of makeup for under $50 total. Cheap makeup doesn’t necessarily equal bad makeup.
This list is particularly good if you’re a one makeup look kind of gal. For me, I find these lists helpful when I up and forget my makeup when traveling. I’ve done it. In fact, I did it for my sister-in-law’s wedding. ? Yes, it was as tragic as it sounds.
Also, I couldn’t complete this post without mentioning where I got my #makeupaddict shirt. Whitney from The Whitney Story opened her shop House of W recently and she has the most awesome clothes. I have my eye on the Contour for Life shirt. I bought this tee and she was so sweet to give me a coupon code for you! Use the code Jaelan15 for 15% off your order.
