I get that we aren’t all makeup lovers. From time to time, I get questions about what kinds of makeup someone should buy. Clearly, I have a lot of opinions about that because I absolutely LOVE makeup. I totally understand not wanting to throw money into makeup, though, especially if you’re just not that into it, so I’ve come up with a way non-makeup-enthusiasts can fill their makeup bags with everything they need, for under $50.
With these items, you’ll have everything you need and you won’t have to take out a mortgage for your makeup bag. Plus, these are items that I use and enjoy, so you aren’t really skimping by saving some dough.
NYX Photo-Loving Primer – for $12.99, this is a great buy, and a primer really isn’t something you want to skip. It really helps your makeup stay all day!
Revlon ColorStay Liquid Foundation – at $9.99, you can get full coverage and all day wear. I love this particular foundation because if comes in a combo/oily formula and a normal/dry formula so it’s great for everyone! … Plus, you can put this on with your fingers! No fancy tools needed.
E.L.F. Studio Blush – you just cannot beat a $3 pigmented blush. I love E.L.F. for affordability! Tickled Pink is one of my favorite blush colors!
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter – $7.49 & under, coupons are frequently available! This may be my favorite lip formula in the drug store. The range of color options is amazing! Plus, these feel great on the lips. I recommend this lipstick for people who are afraid to wear bold colors on their lips, but still want to play around with them!
NYX Eyebrow Powder – brows can make or break a look, so don’t skip them! I love this powder, and it’s so affordable. Only $5.99!
E.L.F. Eye Primer – as with the face primer, you don’t want to skip eye primer, either. This little $1 staple will have your eyes looking amazing from sun up to sun down! It makes your eyeshadow REALLY last and not crease. Winning!
Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio – Wet n Wild trios are the holy grail of drug store shadow, in my opinion… and they’re cheap. Like, really cheap. We’re talking a complete eye look for $2.99, cheap. One of my favorite trios is Walking On Eggshells–it gives the perfect everyday look and the instructions are right in the product–eyelid, crease, browbone! Can’t beat that!
Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara – I love this mascara because it’s dual ended. It has a regular size wand for upper lashes, and a tiny one for bottom lashes. So you get double the awesome for only $5.99.
So that comes out to $49.44 total and your makeup bag has everything you need! Another plus to drugstore makeup is that there are always deals and coupons floating around.
What about you. Are you a makeup enthusiast or a “only-when-I-have-to” makeup user?
I hope you found this helpful!
