Do you know what I really love about Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving leftovers. Last year I had the opportunity to introduce my husband to the best way to eat leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner… dressing, turkey, and cranberry sauce makeup a sandwich inside a dinner roll. The bulk of the snack is the turkey. Of course the dressing provides moistness and flavor. And well, the cranberry sauce (at least for me) is really just there for color. What does it say about me that I add cranberry sauce to a dish just for color? I do the same to my makeup. Can you blame me? This week for The Makeup Mix-Up, we’re showing off our best Cranberry Sauce inspired makeup looks.
I took my favorite Thanksgiving leftover sandwich as inspiration for this look. Seems a little silly, but it worked. I went fairly neutral for the entire face and eyes, and then I let the lips do all of the figurative (and literal) talking.

Do you ever get makeup inspiration from weird places? Please tell me I’m not the only one!
Miranda has completely taken this cranberry prompt and made it into something sweet. Her ruby-red (or shall I say cranberry red) lips are plump and luscious. It’s ok to call another woman’s lips luscious, right?
If you know me, you know that I am all about the brows. I believe that everyone should pay attention to their brows, and that they really make or break a look. Truly. Sometimes “it’s not you, it’s your brows”.
Join us next week on The Makeup Mix-Up for Bold Brows and make me proud… or envious. Either will do. I want to see your brow game. I want to see your tips, tricks, and special application techniques.
