Every beauty lover knows that a growing collection comes with about 7 billion beauty samples. Up until recently I was anti-beauty samples. Sure, you occasionally get an amazing sample of something really great, but I’m typically stuck with beauty samples I’ve never even heard of and that I can’t think of a use for.
However, a few months ago I became determined. I set my sails on using each and every beauty sample that came through my collection. There were primers, and foundations, and skin care samples galore! Here are my thoughts…
I originally filmed a video for this… but I lost all of the footage. Because, you know, everything in my life is going swimmingly right now. Stay tuned to the end of this post for a brief life update.

Beauty Sample Assessment – Buy or Bye
Claims to “guard the delicate eyelid area from sun, smoke, and pollutants.”
I used this sample for 3 days. I thought this was very thick for an eyelid primer. I had to really work hard to pat in the product, and in the end it was way too tacky. Shadow that I applied over the top did stay in place, but I wasn’t overly impressed. I can think of 6 or 7 eyelid primers that I prefer over this off the top of my head – many of which are drugstore products – so I won’t purchase the Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer.
I want to thank all of you for sticking with me over the last month. My life has been the craziest that it has ever been. It has been a whirlwind of emotion – good and bad. We’ve been let down, and then picked back up again.
What do you do with the beauty samples you receive? Do you use them all or do you toss and forget? Have you ever found an amazing product through a sample?
